Downtown Longmont's Main Street is a working main street rather than a restored one, active since the late 1800s and lined with restaurants, boutiques and galleries. Union Reservoir, four miles east of downtown, is a 736-acre city-owned reservoir and nature area open daily for a small entry fee — swimming, paddling, fishing and shoreline walking, and one of the few places on the northern Front Range where you can do all of that inside city limits. St. Vrain State Park sits just outside town.
